  • March 25, 2010A Survivor's Story: Testimony of the Earthquake:  a forum that will include the Reverend Armstrong (Pastor of Shiloh Baptist Church and former TCNJ Trustee) and colleagues who were in Haiti when the earthquake struck the country.  Roscoe West 201 (Old Library). 7 to 9 pm.  POSTPONED. SPEAKER HAS LAST MINUTE SCHEDULE CONFLICT.

 

  • Week of March 29thGlobal Awareness Week: a program that will provide visitors to the Brower Student Center with an opportunity to see and learn more about the living conditions in Haiti--as well as a chance to learn more about the country's history and make a donation via its "dollar stackers" project with HSA. 

 

  • April 6, 2010Road to Fandwa: a short documentary that tells the powerful story of a rural Haitian community poised to change the future of the country; followed by a Q & A session.  This discussion will be led by four scholars from TCNJ (Robert McGreevy, Maggie Benoit, and Winifred Brown-Claude) and Temple University.  April 6th. Roscoe West 201 (Old Library). 7 to 9 pm.

 

  • April 9, 2010Cultural Banquet.  Come enjoy free food, music, and entertainment at this semi-formal event sponsored by the HSA.  Brower 202 (East and West).  8pm to midnight.

 

  •  April 11, 2010Dance-Dance Solution! Here for Haiti Dance Marathon.  A 10-hour Dance Marathon - sponsored by CUB, WTSR, Delta Zeta, and Kappa Delta - will be held in the Stud on Sunday, April 11th between 12pm - 10pm to raise money for Haiti. Registration for the event will end on Friday, March 26th at 5pm. Registration is $10 per person. Food and drinks will be provided for the dancers by TCNJ dining services, Liquid Lightening, and other local companies and stores. Prizes (provided by Barnes & Noble) will be awarded for the most money raised, craziest dancers and the dancer who lasts the longest! Registration and donation forms can be found online here
